Extra activities
From Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m to 5 p.m., you will have time to enjoy some skiing, snowshoeing, or Tai Chi, or simply make use of the hotel facilities or explore the town. The hotel will provide packed lunches for those who wish to eat on the slopes, or else a buffet lunch for those who prefer to eat at the hotel.
Registration for all activities and payment for the ski pass will be taken on Sunday 27th between 2.30 – 3.30 p.m. and every day from 4.30 – 5.30 p.m. The ski passes are issued on a compulsory KEYCARD, which costs 5 CHF.
For organisational purposes, but on a non-committal basis, you are invited to designate your activity choices on the registration form.
Please make sure you have the necessary insurance coverage in case of accident - BASP declines all responsibility.
Ski
The ski pass includes the special train to and from Bretaye (up on the ski slopes) and is valid from 11 a.m. A special group price for will cost around 40-45 CHF per day. This will be defined when we know the number of people interested for 1-2-3-4 days skiing.
Timetable for train Villars – Bretaye – Villars:
- Villars – Bretaye : every 0h00 and 0h30
- Bretaye – Villars : every 0h25 and 0h55
Approx. 20 minutes each way.
If you choose to ski with a monitor, you need to indicate your level on the registration form.
- Beginner : never or rarely skied before.
- Medium : you can ski down a blue/red slope using parallel turns.
- Advanced : you can ski down red/black slopes using parallel turns.
The Villars Swiss Ski School proposes a special price of 85 CHF per hour, per monitor, for each group of 3-10 people. This sum will be divided between the group participants at the end of the afternoon and paid directly to the monitor.
Snowshoe
We recommend hiring a Swiss guide to accompany groups, as he will be able to judge the best paths to take. Prices : same as for ski monitor, 85 CHF per hour, per guide, per group of 3-10 people.
Hiking boots or similar footwear is required to put on the snowshoes. You can bring your own or rent them.
Tai Chi
Group sessions will be organised in the hotel, ideally from 11.30 a.m. -12.30 p.m. and/or 3.30 p.m. - 4.30 p.m. n.b. these times are flexible and will be confirmed nearer the time.
Group prices for 1 hour:

The cost will be divided between the participants in the group.
Depending on the size of the room available, the monitor may form two groups, but keep the overall price for each participant. Therefore, if 20 people are registered and he makes 2 groups of 10, you will only pay 24 CHF each.
Please bring some comfortable clothes, e.g. tracksuit, gym clothing.
Chinese massage, individual Tai Chi
These can be booked on site.
Equipment rental
Ski and snowshoe equipment can be rented from Dätwyler Sport, opposite the hotel.
There is a 10% optional insurance fee to cover theft or damage to the rented articles.
